The project „Espark“ is a daylighted shopping center with daylight opening in the rotundas. The investigation of daylight consists out of calculations for the amount of daylight in the mall and calculation concerning the exposure to sunshine of the shop façade. Using a visualization the appearance of sun–patterns at different times was investigated.
The pipes of the smoke exhaust system in the linear mall were fitted with illuminated ceiling at the bottom and colored fluorescent lamps inside to combine the technical aspect of the pipe with design. For the general lighting in the basement downlights also integrated in the pipes of the smoke exhaust system were installed.
In the food court the light intensities shall be reduced. The artificial light concept consists mainly out of halogen-downlights integrated into the wood-lamellae ceiling.
To achieve a guidance of the visitor into the center the vertical light intensities were risen in the entrance areas. |
